I just moved to the East Bay from North Carolina and you guys were very helpful in making sure my car had what it needed to pass the California emissions inspection (it sorely needed some key parts!). Everyone was warm, welcoming, and helpful in explaining what I needed, the prices for the parts and labor, and the time needed to complete each task. Offering a ride to and from the BART was great as well. I will be back!

Bruce is passive agreessive and drab. He always seems to be unhappy. No vigor. Flat affect. I used to try to make him laugh until recently I (been a repeat customer For 3 years now) took my Volvo for it's 100,000 mile service. He charged be a little over $900.00. Weeks later when I brought my car back for a repair he recommended. He gave me a partial letter from Volvo that was sent out to volvo owners in 2009 basically there was a recall on a certain part and to take it to a Volvo dealership for servicing and repair at no expense to the owner. I asked Bruce when was he going to give that letter to me. He at some point you should be happy i gave it to you.. I remember him stuttering and never gave a clear answer. He just said you are eligible for a refund from volvo. Like a robotically. I asked how do I get the refund. He said call them I guess. Anyway not caring about punctuation right now. No volvo will not give a refund. Bruce took the money having full knowledge that volvo repairs were to be performed by a certified volvo dealership. When I pressed him about the dishonesty he hung up on me. When I called back he asked what did i want. I told him and he said I don't like your tone which mine was monotone and calm. He hung up again. Also twice I brought my car in and he said there was something that needed fixing in the near future and why did the next few days did that particular part malfunction?He is didishonest and I have learned not forth right or professional. I told him he was behaving totally unprofessional. He didn't care. Check engine light instantly came on another time after his mechanics allegedly repaired something. I used to think the world of this shop. Now I will never patronize this dude again. Ever! I found some real nice people haha that fed me some of their native dish while I was waiting for my finances BMW to be serviced. My fiancé was the owners nurse after surgery a few weeks back. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS DIS-ORGANIZATION . I am sure he's got quite a high level of customers and repeat. If you think this place is good like I did. Good. If you ever suspected or had a hunch that some the wasn't quote right you are right in my experience. They have been open long enough. Shut them down. . .

I am very picky about where I take my car. Ackerman's is the first garage where I have never been disappointed with their service. From making the appointment to picking my car up and everything in between Ackerman's is top notch. My car is always fixed right the first time and the management will give me a 'to do' list and advise me, but never pressure me about what services should be performed. I highly recommend Ackerman's to anyone looking for a great garage to service their Volvo.
