I found Ackerman's by accident. However, they are now the only ones allowed to touch my car. I don't live nearby and it takes effort to get my car serviced... but it is worth it due to service and their integrity. Thank you!

As usual, great. Was a bummer that a part order got dropped into the void, but Bruce and crew did their very best to compensate by assuring me that when my part came in, I would be in front of the line regarding getting that part installed. That sort of service is WAY important. Bruce & crew CARE. And after all the years of going to Ackerman's this is the FIRST time anything like this has come up, so I most definitely will spot them this one. :-)!!!!

Though my home is away from Berkeley, I found myself with a battery on its last legs and critical appointments coming in the next days. Because I was in the neighborhood, I made a lunchtime visit to Ackerman's, and Bruce happily slotted me in. I'm sure the work was done before my lunch was, and the arrangements with him were easily done. Plus Ackerman's supports our community chorus (BCCO)!

Driving to Oakland from LA, I got a check engine warning and was worried about possible problems driving back. I took my V50 in for a check and Adam looked it over for me on the spot. Like an old school physician, he took the time to discuss all of the possible ramifications of the code (#4 cyclinder misfire) with me but suggested that I would be fine to drive back to LA - which I was. The personal attention and care that I received was fantastic and all too rare nowadays. If I lived in the Bay Area I would have complete confidence returning back to this shop. Thanks.

Friday early p.m. noticed drive belts about to fall apart. Called Bruce. He had me come right over. I was good to go in less than 2 hours (on a Friday afternoon no less)!
