I think Ackerman's is just the best! I found them because of a tag they out on the engine noting the date of some work they'd done on a used Volvo I purchased. I figured they'd know something about the car and took it in for some servicing. From that moment on they were "my mechanic". They transferred everything they knew about the car to my account and added notes on what they took care of that day and recommendations for the future. They are NOT a hard sell/scare you into more work kind of place, in fact they told me that while according to the mileage there were some things that were recommended, they could safely be put them off until my next service. Another time I came in with a taillight out and asked if I should leave the car until they had time to take care of it. Not only did they replace it in a matter of minutes, they said they'd have replaced it at my next service anyway, "so we'll just catch you then." The whole transaction took less than ten minutes and I didn't even get my wallet out. That $5 lightbulb got them a customer for life. This last time, because of their meticulous note keeping, I just had to come in, state what was currently going on and say that I also wanted what was recommended previously. Bruce looked it up so I didn't have to fumble trying to explain in my broken understanding of mechanics and it was all taken care of perfectly. My son is currently looking for the same model that I drive and we will definitely be taking it to Ackerman's
